OVERALL PERSONALITY: No matter how you look at Atlas he is rather strange. He is calm and has rather good comtrol over his emotions but sometimes it does notseem like it. Especially when he goes out to do something that is dangerous or he should not be doing and people try to tell him not to go and that something veryt terrible could happen. In times like that he is scary calm and just says simply that he needs to. And if you ever want to know the truth come to him. He won't sugar coat anything and tells you the truth, no matter how badly you wish he would tell you what you want to hear or how bad the truth sounds. He can also read people like maps by studying their faces, eyes and body language and also by the way your voice sounds.

When he sets his mind on something their is nothing you can do to stop him, unless you are willing to hurt him or yourself. And most people just by looking at him you don't want to hurt him and he won't let others hurt themselves for his sake. He also knows his limits, or so he thinks. When he knows he can do something he will do it himself and even if he can't that won't stop him from trying. He would rather look like a dork than someone who can't pull his own weight. Even though that by looking at him he does not have much at all.

OVERALL HISTORY: At first Atlas was a bit of a loner or an outcast. Others thought he was strange and gave him a wide berth or just ignored him. He never liked it but as long as he had his parents though he was happy. Even though his mother was out of the house most of the time and his father busy with all the maps he had to make. He spent as much time with his father as he could, learning about the maps and how to read them and eventually make some of his own. He drew a map when he was seven. It was an island but he was not happy with the map. The island seemed so blank and what he did was draw a house with his mother, father and himself standing beside it and showed his dad. His dad loved the map turned into a picture and kept it in his office but a short while after that his little sister was born. Finally someone besides his mother and father to spend time with who did not see him as a freak ot outcast. He loved his little sister and helped as much as he could. however his mother had had too much. Salona died one day at work.

Atlas was sad that his mother was gone and that she went somewhere without him, his sister and father. However he still helped take care of his sister who was still too young to understand that their mom was gone. After a while Atals asked for the picture back and changed it. He added in his sister holding his hand.

When his father asked why atlas said 'So that we can always remember her.' Sara was never allowed in her dads office so she never saw the picture. But then Atlas got searched and his father took the picture from his office when he was double checking Atlas's bag. He slipped the picture into Atlas's bag and atlas never noticed until he was at the Weyr. That was one of the few times he cried.
